Terms of Service

1. The service

mirrorangel provides a set of browser-based tools plus extended features that require an account: AI-customized tools, the forum and Encrypted transfer. Built-in tools run locally in your browser; their input is not uploaded to the server.

2. Account and security

• Signing up requires a custom ID, an email and a password. The email is used for account recovery and important notices and is not shown publicly; please keep it reachable.
• Your login password is used for signing in only and is not involved in protecting encrypted content. Encrypted transfer uses a separate transfer key that you set yourself.
• If you forget your transfer key, content in Encrypted transfer cannot be recovered. The pairing code only locates your data; it cannot replace the key. This is not a defect of the service.
• If you suspect your password or transfer key has leaked, change it immediately.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• upload or distribute unlawful content;
• mass-register accounts, automate abuse, or circumvent rate limits or human verification;
• scan, penetrate, denial-of-service or otherwise exhaust the service;
• attempt to access other users' data or accounts;
• generate tools for any of the above via AI customization.

Accounts that breach these rules may be limited or terminated, and we may cooperate with lawful investigations where necessary.

4. Liability boundary for AI-generated tools

Tools produced by AI customization are generated automatically by a model. We run static checks on the server and execute them in an isolated sandbox, but we do not guarantee their correctness, security or fitness for your purpose.

• Evaluate the output yourself before use, especially for calculations, amounts or dates.
• Do not use generated tools for critical or irreversible operations.
• Generated tools may use network and local storage by default; you can turn these off on the run page at any time. Network requests are proxied through our server, but the proxy does not review the correctness or safety of responses.
• Code you generate under your own account is yours to use; you bear the consequences of that use.

5. Accuracy of tool output

Utility features (calculations, conversions, encoding and decoding, health-related metrics and so on) are provided “as is”. We try our best to be correct but give no warranty.

• Health tools (such as a BMI calculator) are for general reference only, do not constitute medical advice, and must not be used for diagnosis or treatment decisions.
• Encryption and hashing tools produce technical results; they do not constitute a judgement of fitness for any particular security scenario.

6. Credits and top-ups

• AI customization consumes credits per use; new accounts do not receive free credits.
• Credits can be obtained via redemption codes or purchased plans. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record; refunds follow its rules and what we publish on our pages.
• Failed generations do not consume credits — they are refunded automatically.
• Credits already consumed are in principle non-refundable, unless the law requires otherwise or we agree separately.

7. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no promise of uninterrupted operation. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue the service after reasonable notice.

Thanks to the encryption design, content you have already decrypted locally remains under your control even if the service ends; but ciphertext stored on the server can no longer be retrieved.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption and lost profits.

In particular: do not keep your only copy of important material in Encrypted transfer. Keep a local backup. Forgetting your transfer key makes the content permanently unreadable.

9. Open source and third-party components

The service uses several open-source components (Next.js, Supabase, Tailwind CSS and others), each under its own licence. AI generation is provided by a third-party model provider and payments by Lemon Squeezy, each under their own terms of service.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the date on this page will be updated. Continued use means acceptance of the revised terms.
